Romantic Proposal Photoshoot by Lake Ashi in Hakone
In early August, I had the pleasure of capturing a truly special moment for a lovely couple at Lake Ashi in Hakone. It was one of those magical mornings where everything seemed to fall perfectly into place—the light, the setting, and, most importantly, the love between two people.
A Surprise Unveiled
The day began with a bit of playful intrigue. I arrived early to pick up the couple at their hotel. To keep the surprise intact, we had arranged for the fiancé to pretend that he had planned a couple’s photoshoot, a thoughtful gesture to celebrate their time in Japan. Little did she know, the day was about to become one of the most memorable of her life.
An Emotional Proposal by Heiwa no Torii
Our first stop was the iconic Heiwa no Torii. Arriving early meant we had the location entirely to ourselves. The light was soft and golden, casting a warm glow over the picturesque red gate that stands proudly by the water’s edge. As we walked along the serene path, the atmosphere was peaceful and intimate, setting the perfect stage for what was to come.
With Lake Ashi and the majestic Heiwa no Torii as the backdrop, the fiancé got down on one knee and proposed. The moment was filled with genuine emotion—tears of joy, laughter, and an overwhelming sense of love. Capturing this raw, heartfelt moment was a privilege. We were fortunate to have a clear view of Mt. Fuji in the distance, standing majestically as if watching over the newly engaged couple.
