Couple Photoshoot FAQs: Tips for Outfits, Edits, Weather, and More in Japan

Photoshoot tips

Planning a photoshoot can bring up a lot of questions, from choosing the perfect time to ensuring your photos turn out beautifully.

To help you feel confident and prepared, I’ve answered some common questions below! If you need personalized support, I’m always happy to assist to make sure your photoshoot is seamless and stress-free.

Can you take me through your editing process?

My editing process focuses on enhancing exposure and colors, while also retouching minor details like blemishes or removing unwanted objects. Simple edits, such as removing blemishes or people in the background (when possible), are included. I don't perform major transformations like altering body shapes or drastically changing features. If you'd like more extensive edits, we can discuss additional fees.

I also offer one complimentary style revision to ensure your photos reflect your vision. Feel free to share any inspiration before the shoot so I can align the final look with the style showcased on my website.

As for the number of edited photos, I guarantee a minimum, but I often include extra images when there are additional great shots. Typically, my clients receive around 10 bonus photos.

Can you help us choose our outfits?

Absolutely! I’m happy to offer advice on what to wear. Let me know your thoughts, and I’ll suggest options to ensure you stand out beautifully against the scenery.

If you'd like to rent a dress or tux, I also partner with trusted rental services. Just share your measurements and preferred styles with me, and I’ll check availability with the shops.

Rental fees will vary depending on your choice, and I’ll provide all the necessary details once we’ve found the perfect fit.

couple photoshoot FAQ

What if the weather is bad on the day of our shoot?

If we see that the weather may be bad three days prior, we can discuss rescheduling. If our schedules align, we may be able to move the session to a different time or day.

Alternatively, we can adjust the location to Tokyo if the weather is better there. Some additional costs might apply depending on the change in location, but I’ll be sure to keep you informed.

If rescheduling isn’t possible, we can proceed with the shoot and embrace the weather for a unique and memorable experience.

When is the best time for our shoot?

Early morning or sunset provides the best lighting and fewer crowds. I highly recommend these times for the most beautiful results.

How early should we leave Tokyo for a sunrise shoot in Kawaguchiko?

For a sunrise shoot, the best option is to stay overnight in Kawaguchiko. This allows us to leave early and capture the beautiful morning light. If an overnight stay isn’t possible, we’d need to leave Tokyo around 3:30 AM to ensure we arrive in time. I recommend the overnight option for a more relaxed experience.

I can provide transportation for two people from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko and back for an additional fee of $150. I’ll include this as an option in your quote for your convenience, should you need it.

Excited to capture your special moment?

Me too! No matter the question, my goal is to make your photoshoot experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. From planning outfits to navigating unpredictable weather, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
