BEAUTIFUL PROPOSAL IN NAGASAKI PARK, MT FUJI
In October, I have been contacted by Jun Minh who wanted to propose to his girlfriend near Mt Fuji. He initially wanted to propose in Hakone, thinking that he should have a good view of Mt Fuji there but after some discussions, we settled on Nagasaki Park in Kawaguchiko.
Transportation from Tokyo
As they were coming from Tokyo, the couple needed transportation from there. You can either book a bus to go there, for which reservations open 1month in advance. You can also go by train but it will take you about 3h to reach Kawaguchiko. However, in their case, they asked me for transportation, which I also provide when working if my couples if necessary. I picked them up from their hotel in Takadanobaba, Tokyo and we reached Kawaguchiko about 1.5h later. Now because this was a surprise proposal, we pretty much pretended that the fiancé booked a tour with photos on that day and the surprise was not spoiled.
The Proposal at Nagasaki Park
When we reached Nagasaki Park, I made sure to let the couple enjoyed a little bit area and the view, as the weather was pretty much perfect that day - sunny, great visibility of Mt Fuji - and the garden was full of pampas, flower, with no one around. Then we started to take some simple portraits to get them accustomed to the camera, but to also get the fiancé in the mood. I made sure to look at Fuji and gently tapped the client on the shoulder to let him know that it was time. And they pretty much got a picture perfect proposal. Beautiful weather, nobody around but just the 2 of them enjoying the beauty of nature and Mt Fuji. Afterwards, we took additional pictures in the park, whether it was around the pampas or by the lake, and the couple felt very comfortable in front of the camera.
After the session
Once the session was done, the couple wanted to have some food. So I gave them some recommendations and made sure to drop them off at a restaurant so that they could enjoy the rest of the day. Overall it was an amazing proposal session. The weather, the conditions, the nature. Everything aligned to make sure the couple had an amazing time and the pictures turned out amazing!
