So you are visiting Tokyo with your other half and want to experience the Tokyo Tower like never before. You are in luck! Today we are exploring 5 breathtaking spots with Tokyo Tower that will make you say WOW!
1 - Shiba Prince Park

Preferred time: Golden hour
Shiba Prince Hotel is the location that I always recommend if they want to enjoy a beautiful view of the Tower, as it has an amazing view of the Tower coupled with a beautiful garden. It is really great if you want to take some time to enjoy the moment, have a little picnic or just walk around and admire the view. The other good thing about this park is that it is totally FREE and is very near to other locations on this list, so you can just enjoy it and then head out to other spots as well if you have enough time.
Ideally, I recommend you to go there during Golden Hour. The best is early morning, as the park is always open and you will be able to avoid the crowds at that time.
2 - Toranomon Hills and its surroundings

The Toranomon area is full of restaurants, hotels and rooftop that have an amazing view on the tower. The picture that you see above was taken in a hotel room of Andaz Tokyo, a beautiful hotel in the Toranomon area. Now unlike the first location in the list, this is unfortunately not a FREE location but the experience is honestly a very unique one.
I would recommend you to wake up early and setup your room with view on the Tower to take advantage of the sunlight hitting the Tower early, for the best visibility before the atmosphere gets too foggy.
3 - Stairs of the Parking of Tokyo Tower

Preferred time: Mid Day for light in the stairs, early morning for avoiding the crowd and light on the tower
You may have come across this kind of picture on Instagram. This is basically a staircase from the parking under the Tokyo Tower area with a beautiful view on the Tower, which makes for a great picture spot. However be aware that if you are going there and want to avoid queueing, you might want to go there early. This has become quite a popular spot over the years and because of it, you do have to wait sometimes.
4 - Zozoji Temple and the surrounding streets

Preferred time: Early morning for better visibility and less traffic
Around Zozoji Temple, there are amazing small streets that lead directly to the Tower, and make for great pictures spots with perfect leading lines. Be careful though as those are still streets with cars, so you want to time your pictures to make sure that it is safe. Don’t hesitate to walk around to find the best spots, or get someone to guide you as it can get a bit confusing. Also take advantage of the temple itself, as it makes for great view points and a great contrast between modern and traditional architecture.
5 - Base of Tokyo Tower

And finally, we have the base of the Tower itself. Depending on the season, you will be able to see cherry blossom, green or red leaves or maybe snow (if you are lucky). The base of the Tower is great for taking wide angle shots of couples and really showcase the scale different of the tower itself. It might be a bit complicated to get the whole tower in frame (you will need to get really low for that as you are very close) but the pictures that you can get really are worth it.
